Darryn has been really enjoying just warming into the Kalymnos way of climbing and the lifestyle. I, on the other hand have already got three new projects and my motivation is high! This I am really pleased about as I have not really trained for a year or more and I am  climbing 7a’s well………….I also decided to project a nice hard 7b over the next couple of weeks.

Its a real blast to be hanging out with another “good human” too……….Darryn is such a good man. He is really very reserved but hilariously funny and a good solid climbing partner who is open to doing whatever we can think of.

Its the end of our first week in Kalymnos all I have done with my mate Darryn is climb, rest and sit on the beach. It s pretty difficult to take photos when you’re supposed to be taken care of your mate on the sharp end of the rope. I am hoping that we will get some photos happening this week as we met a crew of yoga ladies who also climb and asked us out to climb with them. Unfortunately the first invite fell on a rest day and all I did was hangout and belayed Darryn on a couple of cruisy routes and then belayed the girls. Other wise known as the KKK………Kalymnian Klimbing Krew.

We went for a  late afternoon ride on our scooters today and explored a little more and found 12 other sectors and their associated approaches. This will save us a heap of time over the next two to three weeks (yeah we might stay a week longer than planned). On the recon mission we were welcomed by the Kalymnian sunset from a different perspective……………absolutely stunning.
